Give Love: A Thanksgiving Reflection

On Monday, I slipped into the magic of New York City—the Rockettes, the shimmer of holiday lights, and the kind of energy that only the holiday season in Manhattan can offer. Amid the crowds and the color, one moment stopped me in my tracks.
Macy’s was wrapped in thousands of tiny lights, glowing like a storybook scene… but it was the words stretched across the building that caught my breath:
Give Love.
Simple. Bold. Illuminated for all of us rushing by.
In that instant, I felt a quiet shift inside—a reminder of what matters most as we move into Thanksgiving. Not the schedules, not the preparation, not the perfection we try to create… but the love that threads through our families, our friendships, our memories, and even our grief.
This year, “Give Love” feels like the invitation we all need.
Give love in small ways.
Give love in the moments that feel ordinary.
Give love to the people who hold your heart—and to those who may need it most.
Give love to yourself, too, especially in the tender spaces.
As we gather around our tables this week—physically or in spirit—may we remember that love is the legacy, the anchor, and the gift that lasts long after the holiday fades.
Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, grace, and so much love.Because love always comes first.
