This picture is one of those days, I felt like I was living one of the most beautiful days of my life.

For many people, spending time in nature brings feelings of serenity, peace, and calm. Being with nature allows our minds to reduce it's innate threat response and allows for more creativity.


Nature boosts happiness. In the David Suzuki Foundation’s challenge, participants spend 30 minutes in nature, every day, for 30 days. Results were a positive impact on the participant’s health and well-being:

  • significant increases in their sense of well-being

  • more energy

  • feelings of stress and negativity were reduced

  • less sleep disturbances

  • more productive on the job

  • felt happier

I find I am more creative when I spend time in nature. I am able to disconnect from the cluttered mind and open up to listen to sounds of nature. To have one of those days helps me to create my best self!
