"The path to love is not a path we walk alone, we walk together." ~Kripalu

" We are the way forward, the love between us, and the love that threads us together into the larger fabric of Life."
" We are the way forward, the love between us, and the love that threads us together into the larger fabric of Life."

As we begin to wrap up this cold January, I am ready for more sunlight!! I am also wrapping up the Kripalu January daily journal program: Choose Love. I have really enjoyed their daily prompts which have guided me on a journey to choose love daily and think about the love between us. I enjoyed listening to the insight from the participants who took this journey with me, the conversations rekindled my light to be in service to love. The love of rekindling lights to enhance the world with a ripple effect.

I am offering another opportunity to connect with me in February via zoom sessions February 12th and 26th 7-8pm. Just let me know if you want to connect to share thoughts on staying in love.

I am excited to share with you a poet, Julia Fehrenbacher. I was introduced to her work when I visited Kripalu in early January. I think you will love her too.

staying in love

"From my hiding place in the sunlight, I watch

the neighbor with his old, graying dog. Side by side,

one slow step after another, they walk.

I watch as the man pauses, bends down

and close-holds her soft, big head

in his two gentle hands.

They do not know I am watching

that my insides must stretch

to make space for this aching breath

of tenderness.

Have you listened to the winded one today?

they are full, so very full of thenselves. It's a brand new

day! they say. Did you know that anything

is possible, that staying, that staying in love

is the cure for it all?

I wonder-what if we pause more, allow

this fading breath of life to stretch us awake,

what if we make time to listen to our feathered

friends. To strangers too. To those who disagree.

Dear neighbor, whoever you are, whatever side you are on, no matter how deep the disappointment, how dreadful the despair, how wild the winds of worry, I invite you to the table. I offer you a bowl of spilling sunshine, a cop of splashing song. Dear stranger, whoever you are, wherever you stand, let us take one slow, anything is possible step closer, let us be the gentle hands that hold, the wings that stretch-that stretch one another awake."

I am ready to work on staying in love! To support my intention, I signed up for Sharon Salzberg's February Meditation Challenge. On the connection zoom sessions in Feburary, I will share some of my experience with Sharon's teachings.
